Motor and trans are in. Just waiting on my Battery to charge back up so I can start it. Jump box is at work and couldn't reach jumper cables to it. Guess the battery didn't like sitting for 9 months

Hey Dan, looks nice!

Question-it's obviously a LS1 block. Why did you use LS9 head gaskets?

Yep ls9 gaskets are 7 layer and do REALLY well. The regular ls1 gaskets hold boost well also but I am planning on seeing 12-18 psi with these so I wanted all the insurance I could get.

Damn! Get off the computer and get it started already kidding. It might be a good thing the battery was dead. Gives you a chance to double check everything before regretting something. I'm happy for ya Dan, it's gotta feel good to finally get that bitch together again.

Didn't get to spend much time with it yestarday. Had some issues that I couldn't get it to run on the tune for the new injectors. It would start up on my 60lb injector tune. I then found that when I let MikeP use my FPR when he was chasing a fuel pressure issues he cranked my base fuel pressure up to 70psi. Cranked the fuel pressure back down to 58 and got it to fire on the 80lb inector tune and left it at that.

Gonna head back down tonight and try and get it running. If all goes well there I will try and get it back on all 4 wheels and take it into work to align it and go over things on the lift. Then I will be taking it back home to put the facias back on and the interior back together.

Not till after OCMD. Still need to get new seat belts and some other stuff updated before I am track ready. Work has been slow lately so I don't have extra cash to throw at that stuff right now. hopefully by the end of may I will be making some test passes. Yes I need to start all over with the licensing stuff too.

figured out one of my issues with the car and running. Found a ground I missed when putting things back together. Also spent some time working on the idle VE so that it will stay running. Here is a start up vid.

I plan on getting the caf on the ground and loaded up on the trailer tomorrow night so I can take it into work and align and inspect it(expired in April). Hoping to be street ready saturday so I can start working on the tune.
