They probably meant that they would have material to start making them tomorrow. Or they would have time to get the parts on the machine tomorrow, or the parts are machined the hardware is getting ordered for them tomorrow...

It's an LS motor man... NOTHING gets done in less then 2 weeks. Stardard is about what, 12 weeks for anything? Unless you're talking about cylinder heads from Cary, in that case I think it's about 12 months.

They're only 1 or 2 days from CT as well.
Like I said.. it's an LS related part. Which means, a bare minimum of 2 weeks, usually just to get started on the part.
It's no different today, then it was in 07 when my old motor went together. Diamond made the pistons for that motor, they were orderedthe first week of April, and we didn't have a piston until the first week of SEPTEMBER.

I have no idea. Don't really care. IMO, that kind of lead time, is retarded for a machined part. Sure I got 10, but to put 2 extra slugs of alum in the machine, isn't that big a deal. Sure the coating took 10 days to turn around including shipping time to dart, but again... I just can't understand why it took that long.
Regardless... it's the same now, and regardless who you go to it's the same too. It wouldn't bother me, if I wasn't in the manufacturing industry.. and didn't have a good understanding about how this stuff works. Sometimes knowing, is worse then not.

shipping requested monday morning, picked up monday afternoon....fedex sat on it for one day so it didn't "go out" until tuesday. Attempted delivery Thursday but was signature required due to value. Stupid Fedex Home Delivery had no way of picking up in the evening (if it was fedex ground, express or ups I could have). So I had to take today off to wait for the fedex home guy to attempt a 2nd delivery. Should have my parts this morning
Will reassemble today and take it to the streetcar shootout race tomorrow without testing as usual
There is a form you can get to allow goods to be delivered by fed ex to your home without a signature. Sounds as if the shipping company did their job as per protocol. And the receiver should have filed the propped paper work to have it left at his house. Lmao! Don't be a hater....
Since u are off today might as well take a minute get in touch with fed ex and set up home delivery without a signature to avoid this in the future. Just a thought I am here for u. Or u could have it shipped to my house? I am here for you...
