No update yet. I know he was rear ended by a drunk driver and probably taking a couple days off to rest up and get stuff straightened out.

Update when they started it the timing chain snapped. So lesson learned don't buy autozone timing chain. Going to be down a few weeks till it gets fixed

Ummm I'd be looking for something other than a "cheap" part if you had the chain snap on start up. Especially after you had an injector stuck open previously. That sucks man

what could have broke it? compression was good on that cylinder and when I drove it to the place didn't smoke and no odd sounds from the engine. No gas in the oil. didn't check the coolant but the last time I checked it looked and smelled fine.

Cars going to be down awhile again. Going to do the motor the right way. Going forged stroked lq4 should be able to hold 16-20psi which is more then enough since I just want 12lbs. So best case 3-4 months it might be back on the road. Then hopefully I'm done with this build lol

Little update picked up a lq4 block and it was sent off to the builders. While everything is out I'm upgrading the 4l80e to jakes lv3 trans. I'd like to get a new torque convertor also but have to see how fast the build starts coming together.

If I get the torque convertor I can pulley up the f1a to 14 psi

Haven't had update for awhile. Engine is getting built now and heads look like I'm going ls3 heads since my 317s aren't so hot. I have all my driveline stuff sitting at home just waiting. Hoping to be up and running before the ocean city cruise.

Got some good news last night motor done and starting to order everything for the top end. Now things can start moving again.

Getting gm cnc ported ls3 heads, ls3 intake, fast throttle body, double roller timing chain and high flow oil pump. I'll see if I can get the parts list for the motor. It's all forged and looks to be 9.4 to 1 compression. Plan on running 14psi. Wonder what she'll put down once done.
