Cool28 build thread
Well got the rear being built mcw 9inch with watts ink, narrowed 3in on both sides and wavetrac. Also found myself a 2000 4l80e for 460 shipped that still works. Now just need driveshaft, rims and to fix the quarter panel and put in a minitub for the 335s going in the back.
Anyone know a good body shop that can do minitubs as well?

Got my 4l80 sitting at home now. Got to take the Pan off see if it'll survive a year or so. Rear should be done soon. Then have to find a good bodyshop guy to put in minitubs and fixed the quarter panel.

It sounds like your are gearing up for a straight line car. What advantage does the Watts link give you at the track? Its significantly heavier than a PHB, and will it still allow you to clear an oversized drag bar?
I see a lot of dual purpose or cars built for handling use them but, just the fact you are going with a narrowed rear and tubbing it raised my curiosity.
You will love that MWC rear.

this build is going to basicly be a cruiser once im done with it. That being said i do want to beable to play with it at the strip to. So im building options into it as i go. I know the benefits of a watt link for handling and i also think there some benefits for it in racing as well but i coulding tell you off hand.
Also the rear is geared towards top speed runs/ low rpm highway drives
End build is a 1200+ hp twinturbo ls1 that will beable to travel long distances and still do a few races and drive back home

last time i asked a couple months ago they basically told me to give it a rest. wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't requested my backing plates at 8 weeks!!!

Well little update. Desire to put her into storage since its getting time for mice to try and find a home and I cleaned enough crap out of the fan ducts.
Anyway got a programming harness from speartech and ordering efi live tomorrow. Way it looks next week ill order the torque convertor. It's finally starting to come together. If the ot keeps up shell def be back on the road by spring. Then I can move to the engine hehe
