Was your G8 a GT or a GXP? Either way, those cars are both pretty fast in stock form. Why do you keep calling it neutered? I don't understand. I like the G8, it's a 4 door car that can race muscle cars and keep a much softer suspension, with lots of other extras.

The '07 rear isn't too bad, especially if you keep the 3.42s in it (which most don't) and upgrade some axles.
But yes, ideally you'll want the C6 Z06 (or C6 ZR1
) rear in there.
As I'm sure you already know there are no aftermarket gears available for those cases (at the moment), you'll be limited to 3.42s only.
True story, even low 11s on into the 10s
with enough effort and attention to detail. ![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
Don't ask me how I know this.

Not sure if you knew it or not but his G8 GT wasn't stock, it was actually very fast at one point. And that's why he refers to the Corvette as 'slower' even though we all know that a stock C6 LS2 is typically faster than a stock G8 GT.
