Default New PB Last Night at NED

12.708 @ 109.05 8.176 @ 85.96 with a 1.828 60'. 60' sucks but atleast im still widdling it down. had two other runs that would have been 12.6x if i didnt miss shift: 1.850 60' 8.158 @ 86.17 missed 4th killd that run. best 60' of the night 1.786. im starting to get frustrated with trying to 60' this car, may need to take a break before i pull my hair out or spend anymore money.

cars a 99 z28 ttop 6 speed, 3660 w/driver, lid, portd tb, catback. running stock 02 manifolds/cats/y pipe. 9" in the car with 4.11s, detroit true trac, MT radials and 15x10 wheels.

Congrats on your new PB. A friend of mine went last night. He was driving a Red 1989 Supercharged Mustang. Not the best night for him he blew 4th gear in his 4th run.
Im planning on running very soon, car is getting painted should have it back next week.

a friend of mine got into the 12's for the first time there last night also with one of my old cars that ran 12.2 @118 for me 2 years ago... I am thinking your car matches the last pass in this vid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLfJipqLlsI

he is spraying it with a very small shot , I was giving it hell with a bigger shot whan I owned it

congrats on the pb , I asked my friend about the camaro he raced and he said it had very few mods but driver mod for sure

DA was only like +1500 last night also so go on a night thats -1,000 to -1500 which will happen on a couple street nights in sept/oct and your gonna be mid 12.5 or better , I will be there with my z when its -1,000 or better on a friday.....

yup thats my car! that GTP is quick, i raced him a bunch of times, he got me on two runs when i miss shifted.

you just made my night btw, i lifted the left front hard on that pass! i had no idea it did that, lol.

im having a hard time getting the car to launch clean, as you can see in the vid the front pops right up but after the clutch grabs the rpms drop and it bogs. par for the 6 speed course, ill get it figured out.

that fall air def gives some good ETs, i hope i can get my 60' sqaured away before then and run 12.5X consistently. then go get a nasty slip at the end of october.

I thought you might like that lol

fall air gives good traps , traction gets harder , its a real dance to hit it right on a street night , my bests have come with long cool down and a good pass just before they shut down for break at 8:00 , after the 20 min shutdown the dew settles on the track in the fall and it gets real dicey and someone who doesnt understand it isnt the street and will hook hard at some point usually hits the wall and ends the night -if your loose at the 1/8 shut it down dont try to ride it out

that gtp wasnt cammed when I owned it but I sprayed it with easily double the shot Pat is - its best 1/8 was 7.76 @94 and would fall over dead lean at the 1,000 ft and coast through the traps at 116-118

I am the owner of the GTP. Those were some impressive times for a pretty much stock Z28.

Hey, you have a 9 inch in it right. Ditch the radials, and put a hoosier QTP at like 14lbs of air. Also remove the front sway bar and launch it at 6k. Worked like a charm for my SS when it was a 6speed. Before the hoosiers and removing the sway bar the car would do the same **** as yours. I couldnt believe the difference in how the car reacted.

Mine weighed in at 3730 with me in it and would cut mid 1.6s on motor and low 1.5s on a 150 hit.
