Default 6.2 question

So there is this guy I know gas a 6.2 out of a truck with 96k on it that he wants to sell to me for 300$ intake to oil pan. Only downfall is that it has a cracked block. Don't know what from either. But for 300 bucks what can I do with it if I buy it..... Motor turns and is not locked up. Any suggestions of if i should buy it or if i do what can i do with it?

Umm you can make a nice table with it lol or you can sell intake and heads etc but shortblock isn't worth buying if it's cracked

How much are those heads worth. Maybe a 6.0 block witg those heads and a l76 intake?

I think all 6.2L truck motors (L92) are actually aluminum just like the car versions (LS3/L99).

If the block on this one can actually be repaired that price is a total steal! It's a good deal either way as the heads alone are probably worth over $500.00.

Yeah I would say buy it for the heads and intake. The L92 top end with those great flowing square-port heads are prime for anyone with a 4" bore block.

It will likely have the 'truck' intake manifold and not the more desirable L76/LS3 manifold but it's probably still worth it.
