To be the fastest single power adder GEN 5 CAMARO. The new mods should put me in the 9's and then we will do bottom end and get weight out and so on and see where it takes us.

I am truly enjoying doing things step by step. My old car was not as fun, i just dropped off a 13 sec car and picked up a low 10 sec car.

Standalone for the 4l80? Yes they do. We use them when we convert the C6Z06's to automatic.

I'd go with the ECS Gen 5 SC kit.

Not sure what head unit they're offering with that kit, but I'm sure they can hook you up with whatever you want.

Matt@ ECS is making 850rwhp in his stock bottom, cam, meth, Novi 1500 kit.

You could go with a bigger head unit & restrictor plate till you go forged bottom.

Keep in mind, best to build per class rules you may want to run.

A turbo would be the fastest.
Nitrous would be next.
Supercharger will make a nice dyno #

If you want a fast track car go with the turbo. I think it is a lot easier to lay down a fast time with a hairdryer.

I prefer SC for street cars....fewer headaches, more options.

You still have your T/A with the SC? I saw it at Eastside years back. Chef said it scared the ---- out of him.

I think there's a few more questions to be asked also.

1. How fast do you want to go? (faster than 8.50 which requires a 25.3 cage)

2. How much time & money you willing to spent on a power adder?

3. Building for bragging rights, competition or both?

For the goals I'll say Turbo. Something like a 85mm setup. Keep the stock drivability, less noise and control. Getting the right kit made is key.Not that hard to do on the new Camaro's with the room they have.

actually, faster than 8.50 requires a 25.5 cage. Faster than 7.50 requires either a 25.2 or 25.3 cage, depending on weight of car

Yup - Pick a project and stick with it.

Just rolled over 105k on the odometer. Had the same S/C setup since 72k or something. Dyno checked it last year at 699 HP. Daily drivin in the summer - still terrorizing the freeways.

Being in a wheelchair is tough so 8.50 is the fastest i will be. 9.s next year and then 8.50 class on a small tire is a good possibility. I am been fast but i wanna see where I can take this new car.

Money really isnt a concern...

no bragging just competition and street racing

Kevin that is why I am leaning towards the YSI. Capable to grow into up to 1200 flywheel hp. so when I do the short block and stuff it will be enough. How are you buddy? Hit me up on my cell, would love to run some stuff by you and see how you are, 203-500-5995

I want to build the car to that class because the class will always be big. Its just amazing that my last car went in the 9's and was a complete race car. these new cars dont seem to need as much with technology the way it is.

That's good to hear. I always liked that car.
