Probably pretty close at the crank. Trex with full bolt ons and a FAST through a t56 is in the 440+rwhp range.

It actually has a lot of nice mods done but that price is insane.

The car seems to be built well, mods are very nice and car is ready to go. But have seen cars built more than that for alot cheaper. It was in Cali so who knows, if they got it through emmisions then it would be worth that price there.

It's hard to tell from the 1 picture they have listed of the actual condition. Especially with a white car.

I doubt it's near 500, even at the crank. As for there being over $25k invested... Must be with 75% of the cost in labor.

I, honestly, wouldn't pay $20k for it. I wouldn't pay $15k or $10k either. IMO, it ruined the car. If/when I get an '02 SS, it will stay stock. Absolutely 100%. Perhaps it won't become anymore valuable, but for my personal satisfaction, knowing that I have the last of a great car ever made in pristine and factory condition would make it worth the cost to me.

I'm not sure where this guy is getting 1 of 700 from either..

I sure hope you were being sarcastic .... if not, I will take $20,000 for my 80k mile SS with ALL original near perfect paint, perfect interior, clean CarFax, 8k mile SDPC 402, 500 mile S60 and full Spohn rear suspension with over a true 500rwhp and save you $2,000 in taxes and doc fees. Hell, depending where you are located, I may even deliver it to you.

I agree ... 500 bhp (crank horsepower) is very possible with these mods. Since the dealer didn't mention "500 rwhp", there is "no misrepresentation" as to the power. An astute buyer would require a dyno run before purchasing. If it is accurate put it in the purchase price and if not, no sale.

Look again .... there are many photos (scroll to the body of the add). "IMO", its mods made this car. It will be several more decades before a 104k mile SS is "valuable", if ever and that is if it's no longer driven.

Also to note with this ad, it does NOT have a Pro-Series chrome-moly T/A .... it is the "standard duty" mild steel T/A. Look closely at the photos. Knowing this information, I would believe the rest of the Spohn pieces are mild steel as well.

A warning to all, please do your homework when buying used cars, especially a "performance car" from a dealer. I imagine all this information came from the original owner and the dealer is just repaeating it, but it's content is your responsibilty to verify if you don't want to get screwed.

My question is why does everyone with a 2002 Camaro called it a 35th anniversary edition? Yes, it's the 35th year of the Camaro, but the anniversary edition was the red with the white checkered stripes package.

Realistically, on here, that car would barely get $10,000 considering it has a monster cam in it, drag radials on it, over 100,000 miles and isn't anything unusual or special.

Technically you are right .... the special 35th and final generation "Anniversary Edition" were red and were convertibles or T-Tops (no hardtops), although, all 2002's had a 35th anniversary commemorative dash plaque (as does mine).

I know all of them have the dash plaque, but some people think that adds some kind of exclusivity to them and makes it worth thousands more.

I have seen some guys with a z28 with cloth interior, 16" factory wheels and 30,000 miles and expect the car to be worth $18,000.

.... and as I am sure you know, a car is worth only what someone will pay for it. When looking in the classified sections, you will see that sellers are asking what others are asking for the same or similar car and say it is worth it. In reality, sellers should be looking at what the same or similar cars have actually sold for. That is a car's true worth.

My eBay is so screwed up. I'm only showing one photo and I have a football fields length of white space.

Perhaps the mods made the car, but everything is opinionated. I wouldn't purchase it for that price, and due to the mods. I'd prefer to have my 35th entirely stock. It would have sentimental to me because of that. It was the last General Motors made Camaro. The 5th's, of course, are just Government Motors.

Anywho, I shot them an e-mail asking them to clarify some things.

Just curious as to whether or not you have any available documention this car makes 500HP. Judging by the mods on the list, it's very hard to believe that the car makes the stated power. And if that's the case, would it not be defrauding the buyer by making false claims? I'm also curious as to how this vehicle is 1 of 700. Comparing the RPO options, this car doesn't have anything particularly rare. Not only that, but the mileage of this car is a big indication of its value.
His response was simply:

Thx for the email. Doesn't sound like your a buyer, but a pesimist and someone who's bored,

I have some cars to be cleaned to stop you from bothering others,

Let us know

Thx u

100% right. It's those same people who have their sale threads bumped by them for months with no interest and they simply post, "NO low ball offers".

I was mainly looking at the OBO he had there. That would mean he should go down to ~15k. For the mods done and all the little Spohn stuff added to it, I think it is a decent price. I haven't been in the market for 3 years so I'm judging by prices I saw back then. Also I didn't see the miles and already expected that 500hp to be at the crank.
You can keep your bridge lol.

either way the car has waaaay too many miles on it. the seller is an *******. i would argue the horsepower numbers but i wont get into that. my car i have over 25k invested into it and part of it is labor its an 02 ss and only has 19k miles the underneath is cleaner than the exterior of that white car and i just had it appraised for 25k that guy will probably be sitting on it for a long time unless one of those many idiots comes along and buys it. 9 grand tops for that car imo also car books for 10k and thats in excellent condition which that car is def not excellent and if you tally up the mods someone got hosed there is nowhere near 25k into it unless the car is added into that figure

It's getting harder and harder to find a clean f-body. I want another one...the newer Camaro's just dont do it for me. I'm thinking of just buying one of the f-bodies on ebay that have under 1,000 miles and spend the extra cash. We'll see.
