Yes it was! The Hamptons was one of the oldest operating NHRA Dragstrips on the East Coast. It operated from 1953-2004.

Bob's on Sunrise Highway in West Islip on Sat nights is a good one as well as Oak Beach on Sunday mornings.

Suffolk county cops and state troppers suck for car guys!!! they give me so many problems with my car even when im just minding my own business... Nassau county cops on the other hand are much better when it comes to cars, at least where i live. They give me thumbs up when i drive past them 
I did the same back in 1995 back when it was stock. I guess I'll have to go to Englishtown now if I want to see what it does in the 1/4 mile with my new engine.
Made my first official 1/4 mile pass ever at that track.

im down to meet some new people. The club I used to be in was nice back in 06/07 but it slowly disbanded and I miss it. We used to meet up at ruby tuesdays on commack rd on friday nights. there would be about 50 of us and it never got to big or ruined by idiots, people just got older, got married, sold their cars etc. I wouldn't mind doing something like that

Then we cant tell you to leave since its private property and your there with permission. Get that in writing, and make sure if anyone expects repeat events there can be no shenanigans. I know theres a meet at dave and busters in farmingdale on fridays and saturday night. Also theres a meet at best buy in baldwin on tuesday nights.
I would rather start a new meet but wwhatever works best we should go with that. If anyone has any suggestions dont be shy say hi and let us know!!

Do you guys ever go to the longislandcars.com car show and swap meet? i usually go at least once a year to the belmont show.. there are ricers that show up but maybe only 10% are ricer.. but there is always that one guy with 157 subwoofers blasting his music away. the rest are pretty awesome rides ratrods, hotrods, classic, muscle, pony.. and theres the swap meet which i love also. and never any ****** trying to show off (at least when i go(although i like to see a burnout or 2)). there are always more than a few fbods.

On sunday after captree Lifba Long island fbody Assoc is having a meet at applebees on 110 . Im sure there will be some guys at captree before the meet which I think is at 12 or 1 pm. I should be floating around captree before the meet. MAby we will see ya over there.

For all you Li guys the glen cove fd runs a car show every Thursday night starting at 5pm -10 .on school st. $5 to get in and there have been a lot of ls cars. We need to get ride of the ricers

I am located in Queens but Captree and Long Island is a short nice cruise from me. I would like to get some more info on upcoming events as well. I should be around the beach most of the summer since the weather is picking up. Not too many Fbody's around my way either.
