Anyone the MD preferably Montgomery county have a LM? I am looking to buy one but want hear them in person first. I would prefer mostly stock exhaust, no headers or anything.

I'm nowhere near you, but I do have an LM1 with stock manifolds and cats, and i can tell you it sounds good. Very loud and aggressive, but not too much. Only possible complaint would be that it has a bit of a drone to it when cruising a high speeds on the highway. It's not really a problem for me as I just turn the radio up. Also I enjoy setting off car alarms in parking garages.

Would the drone be from the different gears you have? Running te engine at a higher RPM? I've heard there is some drone with these systems but I don't mind a little. But cruising speeds may get annoying.

The drone is due to it having no real sound deadening ability. The "drone" will be a fact of life. If you can drive a higher or lower rpm you may luck out.

So it sounds like i will have some drone no matter what. Okay no big deal. But i think i am going to buy a LM2 to start with. I saw a guy on craigslist selling a LM1 muffler so i may pick that up and be able to switch them. Thanks for the input.

My drone may be a bit louder than most as I have 3.73 gears and cruise at slightly higher rpm as a result. The two systems are the same except for the muffler, so if you don't like what you got, it's easy to just swap the muffler. I drive mine with the LM1 everyday and I like it, not annoying at all.

i'm pretty much stock with a LM I catback put on at the dealer. very loud. when cruising at certain RPMs yes it does drone but i love the sound.

the only negative is when it's cold out and i start it up in the morning. luckily i'm not in an apartment complex or anything like that because i'm sure neighbors would complain.

If u stick a LM1 on a car that has stock manifolds and cam. You will be fine. Once you change either of those 2 things it gets a little too much. If you want noise get an exhaust you like and add a electric cut out for those times u wish to be retarded.

I live in a semi tight neighborhood. My neighbors complain about my brothers car so i can only imagine my car at 7am. I am go with LM2 when i am in school and then summer time buy a LM1 resonator to swap it out.

Wow great video! I am Definitly sold on this exhaust. Just need to save up a few more bucks. Still don't know between LM1 or 2. 1 sounds so good in videos but SS lot of people say it is to loud and I really don't want that. Hmm decisions

You should get the lm then swap the resonator out for a Borla xr1 muffler. I had an lm1 on my car for the last 6 years and the raspyness and the drone finally got to me so I switched it out with the borla and it sounds so much better

if you're keeping stock manifolds and cats. LM1 its really tame down low and during daily driving. right around 3.5k rpm is when it starts getting loud.

lm2 is quiet as far as im concerned.

its got a good sound dont get me wrong, but i want a deeper louder sound. as far as people complaining about your exhaust, yeah you will get one or two.

most buildings in my area are thin enough they hear me startup anyway.

If you have stock manifolds and cam it sounds great, I even think it sounded ok with LT headers and ORY on the stock cam. With a cam it is unbearable.
