Default MA State inspection.....???

anyone here anything about this "new inspection" that no thanks to DEVIL Patrick all obdII cars are to pass one of the strictest emission test in the country!?!?! and im not sure if this is true or not but i heard that the new system can detect "tuned" cars so even if you're tuned to pass youre still gonna fail because it will be detected that your pcm was tuned??? can anyone confirm this?

Well as of this week, whatever plan you mention is definitely not part of the process because I got my sticker just fine with catted headers etc.

Also, I doubt very much that they're going to go that far as to check the guts of the PCM for any changes. Plus, how would they differentiate between a dealer flash and a tune flash? They gonna go in your tune and see if the fueling/timing tables have been altered? Cuz otherwise they're not going to be able to tell.

Also, you can always just flash your tune back to stock for inspection if it gets to that. I run an SD tune year round but when I take it in I put my MAF back in and pop a tune specifically made for passing inspection =)

They can not detect our cars computer changed. They can see the fords and some imports because the tuning software put's something detectable in there.
