Even if most don't have the problem with the chain snapping consider the price of the part vs the repair. Is the part (100.00 for example) going to protect a part of equal value? In this case the price of the part is going to ensure something that is worth 35 times it's price. Worth it in my eyes; I'd even put tht portion of the cost on my credit card so I can sleep at night not knowing in the next time I goose it I'll be putting the motor on my credit card.

The cost of insurance sucks.....until you need it.
