Western New York area good cruise or driving roads?
Hey guys
I've got a case of cabin fever pretty bad right now during this blistery february! I'm looking to find some excellent driving roads in the wny/pa/ohio area. This will be my 2nd full summer with the car and I may be able to get a small group of friends (w/a 07WRX and 70chevelle) to go this year on a decent cruise weekend.
I have already went to Letchworth state park and that was a great drive with beautiful scenery last fall. And I'm looking for similar roads, with less people and higher than parking-lot speed limits (haha for what its worth that park would be an ideal date location real nice)
I went up to Lewiston before as well, but that was a short day.
south towards Ashford on the 219/240 was pretty good last fall as-well, but what I'm looking for is to take an old Route and avoid the boring interstate, in hopes of finding some twistys and elevation changes for fun.
I called AAA and asked the worker for a list of the nice driving roads suggested by car clubs in the area. And she just said without a destination she cant help me so I got a full WNY map. I was surprised as i figured that car clubs especially historic clubs certainly must have a recommended route to take!
I'm asking for some help here as I dream and fantasize about driving my TA this summer on some windy back roads with the T-tops off, engine humming and tires squealing
