Finally back in a truck
I really miss my 99 Z71 and my wife took over the Tahoe shortly after we got it (great for hauling kids around)... I got stuck with a POS econobox Mercury. Tax return was pretty good, so I sold the car and picked up this 99 Sierra 2wd extended cab. Has some miles on it (147k), but it is super clean! Has a 4.8L in it. Of course there are lots of things I want to do to it (drop it, wheels/tires, cam, converter, etc), but most of it will have to wait cause I don't have the budget. I'm just glad to have a truck again!

I went from a truck to my Camaro. I love the car but really missed driving a truck so I went and got an 02 Silverado Z71. I'll be honest with ya. I'd rather drive the truck any day over the car. Helps keep the miles off the car, but something about trucks that makes people go back to them even if the MPG is worse.

Did some horse trading and got some wheels/tires for it...
Also tuned a truck for a guy and on top of paying me, he gave me a "Jack Rabbit" roll-up tonneau cover - it is sweet - cost like $700 new! said he had no use for it and it was mine if I wanted it...
I'm thankful for deals like that, cause I can't afford much in the way of toys for it... I'm loving it though - plenty of room in the back seat for the child seats!
