Yup. I was always going to buy the SR9c but for the 1911 it was between the ruger commander and the s&w pro

For me it was either the Sr9c or the M&P 9c. For me the Sr9c was more ergonomically comfortable, and the trigger is a thousand times better than the Smith. The first day I took it to the range, a big mouth and his cousin were at the range, He had a full size m&p and his cousin had a full size sr9. The guy with the Smith kept saying our guns look like they came out of a Chinese factory saying that his was a work of art and that you could tell the superior craftsmanship in his gun . We all shot, the only firearm that had a problem was his beloved Smith. It was hilarious. I paid $390 for my Ruger with meprolite night sights. To find a comparable m&p it would be over 450 then add another hundred bucks for a good trigger kit. And as for Para Ordnance, I love mine but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else or buy another one due to their lack of consistency with their firearms. You either get a good one or a bad one.

M&P are junk imo. trigger is absolute garbage. Ruger FTW SR9c is comfy, skinny, and sick looking.

I want to get a SR1911 Commander Talo edition!

Held the full size SR1911 today and FELL IN LOVE! The full size isnt even that big! Only issue i had with it was if i rocked the slide side to side it had play in it. Is that normal? I want the SR1911 Commander Talo edition if they start making them. Already emailed talo

My CMD is solid. No play in it. Try to find another one. Let us know what talo says about the CMD.

Have you been able to find a commander in stock anywhere in Mass? I have a full size if you want to try shooting it sometime if you are in the Worcester area. I use it to shoot pin/plate shoots at my club and it is great!

Slide play in a 1911 is not a bad thing. Some folks actually prefer a 1911 with a little play in it. The accuracy difference between a tight gun and a looser gun is negligible for the average shooter and the loose gun will be less susceptible failure from dirt and other particulates from getting inside.
