Picked up a new detailing weapon
Should help us a lot time wise on aggressive corrections with the wool pads.
Gonna try one of those newer microfiber pads on the da at some point to compare. I like having a few tools at your disposal for heavy work.

Yeah I find with the wool pads and especially meguires compound (runnier than menzerna) it wants to sling a lot. I could run right over a bead of product with a DA wide open and not sling anything but I'm gonna have to get the technique down on this guy. At minimum, control where it might sling.

If you take your time, do a little research, and keep the pad moving and tape off anything you are affraid to mess up then you really dont have much to worry about. As long as you dont expect to use a wool pad with cutting compound and have the paint be swirl free then your good. Thats what makes the rotary/DA combo work so well. You can cut and get the paint looking good with the rotary and then finish it down and bring out the final finish with the DA.
Have fun and post some pics when you use it.

You can burn paint with a flex but you really gotta try.
I will probably still use the flex most of the time.

Exactly
My preference is to do 2 finishing passes with a DA after an aggressive pass. I use Menzerna a lot, but like the 105 for aggressive cuts as its non-deminishing.
I'll follow up with a med cut foam pad and menzerna PF2500 (aka 203), then to a light or no cut (depending on paint) and menzerna SF4000 (aka 106fa)
Yeah I haven't posted any writeups lately, I'm past due. I got a car that is full of surprises I gotta finish up currently, and I'll post that.
