Default I won $100 lastnight, too easy

I was called at my house by my cousin that some kid with a 89 GT Convertible with a C4 trans and 3000 stall, heads/cam all the bolt-ons wanted to race me for $100. The kicker was he was on street tires. So I said sure no problem. I drove out to portsmouth,RI where he lived, and we lined up on some road no idea where i was, but its not far from 24 onramp (too dangerous if you asked me). I had 2 extra people in my car plus my hatch is full of **** like my old brake rotors and a bunch of other junk including the spare and jack, Normally i go out in race mode cause you never know, and with this car i was alittle nervous so i dont know why i didnt. I left the full belt on and all. SO we stage up we go on the count of 3, he goes up in smoke and i'm gone, way too easy like 4-5 car lengths. I said we can go again for the money race, i was being a nice guy. SO he does a massive burnout, we stage on 3 and he hooked alittle better but not good enough i pulled about 2-3 cars this time. Took his money and went home, said he wants a rematch on slicks i said fine. we are waiting on that now i guess.

I should really start taking this race money and putting it towards mod money

Marco

Nice kill. I bet your excited about winning all these races, I would be, lol. My brother told me that their is this guy up there who has a red z28 that runs like 13.40's@105 that has been doing alot of street racing. Perhaps we can set up a race with this guy, I hear his dad drives it too..

I say me and PurEvl line up.

Camaro Supra vs Trans Am Supra

We just need a REALLY long straight stretch.

Isn't that one lane?

Anyhow, I think Mike would agree, at 20 deg F it would be nothing but a contest to see who could spin the longest without crashing.

No it is like 3 lanes it is an on ramp so if there is no traffic going on to 395 then your clear and it goes for like 2.5 to 3 miles its a nice spot to open it up to tune

at least we can admit what we built right. And at 20 degrees we would meld together in one harmonious crash im sure. LOL! I still think im a little under your power level though

Wj who is James Taylor?

But your right that spot on 395 is the only place I feel safe opening it up over 3 gear plus it's clear so you don’t have to worry about other people driving near you cuz there are none, and the cold weather makes speeding dangerous.

Luckily you beat him anyway but may I ask why you would have all that extra heavy crap in your car while racing, especially for money?
I would've at least dumped the passengers (unless you were looking for fast, clean getaway in the event of cops of course)...did he have passengers too?
Nice kills though.

well 1. i knew the fact that he had street tires it was gonna be hard for him to hook, where as i dead hook and having the extra weight helps out. but the real reason was me being lazy i had 2 passengers and he had 1. Believe me my car is far away from being a fast street car, **** i only ran 13.1 but the problem is all these kids out here seem to know nothing about the LS1, u tell them its a stock motor and they get all excited cause they got mad money into the car. I'm just having fun and winning money. Pretty sad I havent been beaten yet , my day is coming though, i'm just careful on who i race

GOOD KILL, but in my eyes its really foolish to race with passengers, weight or not that is not cool , not only could you guys have hurt yourself you risk others, play it safe and race alone nexttime..
