GUYS if yoiu are tired PULL OVER AND SLEEP, I sit here in a FRIGGIN WHEELCHAIR because I fell asleep. TRUST ME you DO NOT want to be in my shoes.
That's something I'm going to remember! I didn't know that was what happened. I've started to fall asleep a few times while driving. Rolled the window, cranked up the radio and have even pulled over to do a little running to get my heart going. That stuff didn't work to good either. The best thing that I have found to work is becoming the passenger. There are times when I'll start nodding off on a road trip so I'll have my co-driver take over. I get in the passenger's seat and I'm wide awake. That's messed up!

Glad everyone is still here! We all think "I'm tired but I'll make it" but there are times when you fall asleep and never wake up...

For those un-aware, Scotty fell asleep after being a good samaritan to others in need, had he ignored someone elses problems, he would have avoided his. Thats your American Military men at work, even off duty. God works in funny ways, and Scott, we're lucky to still have you.
Now **** off you old goat

Well, I heard from the Insurance. They have not got back to me with a final car worth yet. But the loan will be paid and will be getting a few thousand more, due to me owing less that its worth. Any how they are not paying for any aftermarket parts, so the car is now in my driveway being stripped. Some lil' ****** stole my guages and a-pillar pod at the body shop's yard. So I am waiting for the shop to settle a price on those. Makes me mad and I would like to shoot the lil' bastard in the leg for it.

Anyhow the stock hood is back on, line lock is out, shift ****, short stick out, polished radiator shroud, strut tower brace and the car sits about two feet in the air. Not bad for about 1.5 hours of uninstalling in the freezing elements. Tomorrow or Sunday the FLPs, y pipe, and some of the turbo components will be taken off, unless I get the itch tonight. Then there's still the clutch, the rest of the turbo components, injectors, suspension parts and FMIC. Then all has to be put back to stock, or as un-noticable as possible. . .lol

At least you are getting a chance to get some of your parts back.

Just a brief update . . . I just removed the entire rear section of the turbo system. The turbo, piping and wastegate anyhow. One pipe still has to be cut at the weld so I can put my stock muffler back on. Well, time to go enjoy myself for a bit. I'll keep you updated.

Hey, no doesn't mean no! You pay your insurance and it's time for your insurance to pay you. Don't take no for an answer! I've only had to file one claim on a totalled car that had ALOT of aftermarket parts. They paid! Granted they depreciated some of the parts (understandable) but I gave them receipts and they gave me $. On average I'd say it was 50-60% of what they cost.

Another way to look at is what if your wheels/tires were stolen? Maybe the car only came with 16" steel wheels but you replaced them with 20" of bling. Your not going to want to get paid for steel wheels!

Now get back in there and fight!!!

The car has been totally stripped of the entire turbo system including FMIC except for the subframe pipe, headers were out in under an hour this morning, 42lbs injectors and fuel rails out (thanks again Don for the stockers) oh and I found out you need a disconnecting tool, lol.

Hopefully the snow will postpone itself a week so I can drop the transmission and remove my Spec stage 3, flywheel and upgraded slave cylinder. Also , have to put back the stock exhaust, that ought to be fun lying in the snow Once I have completed the transition back to stock the car will make its merry way to a salvage yard. Where anyone can find the ticking motor, with a stock T-56 and 10 bolt rear both with less than 50k miles. I may have a list of parts for sale by the end of the week, once I find out what the locals want/inherit!!
