Default T-56 upgrades

So when, if, I pull my clutch out to change out the flywheel I want to upgrade some of the components in my T-56 um steel fork and syncros. total like $250 for parts. How hard is it to install these parts? I don't do trans work at all. Is it worth my effort to attempt it myself or should I just bite the bullet and get some help.

you need some special tools (to get to the internals). A good set of snap ring pliers, a 5/6 driven gear puller (its way in on the tailshaft so a standard puller won't get to it). You have to pull the tranny pretty far apart to get to the shift forks and stuff...

Yeah, it's like pulling a puzzle apart. You have to keep everything in the exact same order. You should see the line of parts across the floor when it's being done! SCARY ****!

make sure you get billet slider keys installed. It will cost an extra $80. to $100. bucks over what ever other parts you change but well worth it. You can get all you parts from G-force transmissions in PA

Yup, me marcel and don did just reverse in my car and its the easiest of the bunch. When you get to 3rd and 4th gear there in the front and you have to split the case. Its a nightmare and takes lots of patience.
