Default Have a 98 Civic EX and am looking for support

My 98 Civic EX is catching me hell in school by a member of this site. I am strongly wavering to sell it and get another car and am looking for advice as to what to get next. A friend of mine at school (WyoTech) is just telling me Camaro or GTO, which is the option I need to go towards? PLEASE, I need the help.

Happy St, Patty's day to all

either of them are a good choice, if you want something newer and more refined gto is the way to go, but if you want a lighter car that is better in the 1/4 mile camaro or trans am is ur best bet

Thanks for the initial tip, I'm sure I'll catch hell tomorrow for the car I have now but I hope I get some good feedback (I know what #686 says, I'm just checking some other sources)

Go with a Transam, and try to stay away from the glorified grand prix

Default Thanks so far for the help

I appreciate all the help so far, and I also appreciate no one giving me hell for the Honda (yet). By the way, thats the best quote I have seen in years Psyko

Happy St. Patty's day for another 28 minutes!!

You will be happy with either car, but there is a good price swing between the 2, and not too make matters worse, but just because someone is breaking your stones doesnt mean you have to listen, I had a GSR integra with heads and cams and in case your wondering " there wasnt any rice here", and even though I always wanted a F body, I waited till I could afford what I really wanted, and most of my buddies drove F bodies or Europeans.
So the moral of the story drive what you want and drive it well. Good Luck

Thanks for the advice PA Z06, I am actually going to kep my Civic but I am looking for something else to get me going fast. My Honda is all show with little go. I bought a cam gear, fuel rail, and cam and I am porting and polishing the head for now, but I still want to get back in the V8 ring.

Haha I don't have a problem with Hondas until they become rice...I.E. big ugly wing and body kit thats always mounted horrible or not painted! If you wanted to surprise everyone you could get an LT1 for less then an LS1 and throw a set of heads on it and a new cam...If you goto wyotech I'm sure you can do all the work yourself with no trouble.
