Default Project EURO KILLER" Part II....

Just ordered my 2nd Mod------------>TCI 3000 10in Street Fighter...

I drove a car today with this verter and it rocks..
Stock like off a light but crushes the tires on Flash,Was able to brake stall it to 2200 on Street tires in a 3700lbs TA...It had great shift ext and a good STR (2.2) for Dr's....

I also sent my Edit box back to Cartputing for some SLOWHAWK tweeking and will be testing the verter,CAI,and tuning in about 2 weeks at Atco...

I'll compare both street tires and dr's when I go to Atco....
Project "Euro Killer" is comming together

TCI has a pretty good rep now but you didn't want to stay with the more proven/reliable Yank or Vig?
Vig 2800 sounded like the perfect converter for your set up.

$400? WOW! Did you get a tranny cooler?

When will the convertor be in the car? I'll be awaiting the results of this....

I told u guys I would NOT ruin this car and I meant it..The mods picked will be exclusive to my project EURO KILLER and I will not destroy any drivability for ET or MPH with this car.

I wanna run the car with a CAI/TCI3000/DR's in about 2 weeks...

My next mods set of mods will be frt/r sway bar/link bushings and a set of Kooks LT with HFC threw the stock exhaust but this wont happen for a few months..That should be it for the car other than a possible switch to factory 18in wheels and tires over the winter.

You should install a trans kit to go with the converter... it'll help the trans live (and of course a cooler). Also tune out some of the lag (overlap) in the shifting with the LS1 Edit programs.

Ya spanked any Euro-Butt yet?

It should be compared to a M6 rather than a M3..and that makes it that much cooler. I plan on ordering a GMM Ripshift shifter soon and installing my SLP under drive pulley and sway bar with end link bushings . I'll let you know the results to see if its worth it or not.

Dont buy the standard TCI3000,I just got off the phone with Kevin Winstead and he reccomends the 242937 SF3000 with the better lu clutch and billet cover. Its more $$$$ than the standard TCI3000 but is much stronger than the off the shelf unit.

No need for a trans-go in a gto,gm did some nice stuff in the goats box.
Just gonna remove tm and bump the line psi up just a bit.

What DRs are you going to run? Are you going to 275s? Our 245/45/17 Nittos dont like the SS3600. Zero traction in first. Its amazing what a converter can do in one of these cars. Just going from the STLT2800 to the SS3600 made the car a totally different animal.

While normally 275s are a little wide for an 8" rim in the case of Nitto their tires always run narrower than most other brands so they should fit the rim ok and also NOT rub the fender lip on squat/launch like the 275 BFGs or ET DRs do.
I was just standing next to an '05 GTO two hours ago that had 275 Nitto DRs on it and it looks perfect...though the normally optimal size is the stock fit 245s, they are just so narrow.

I specifically went with this version of the SSF from TCI..Its a CUSTOM BUILT to order SSF but they make with a 3000 stall (3100 FLASH) hence the SF designation..Its a trick unit with a 2.3 STR for DR's and thats why I went with it.

I'm expecting .5 and possible .7 with a good tire
I think I'm going to run 245/45/17 Nittos...

I'm hoping with a SLOWHAWK tune these 3 mods will get me into the 12's with my fat *** in the seat.I will remove NOTHING from the car,it gets run just like it left the factory.

I think the bolton record is 12.30's and thats what I have my eyes set on for this car.I dont think I'll get there but I should be in the hunt....
