I noticed the cartek vette with 1000hp went from high 10's to low 11's to low 9's with the auto/transbrake installed...so tempting

If you can still drive the car around town with it I don't see why you don't do it. With that new kit you'll have enough power to make some low 9 second run's.

see, what you dont get is that it realy isnt that bad on the street. running 3:73, with the 28" tire i had no issues, hell last week i took my car out for 2 rides. yhea, the headers where open so it wasnt easy, but it isnt bad. i wouldnt recomend going 80 down the highway till you get to florida, but to go for a cruz, put 50-60 miles on it on a nice saturday cruz with some of the boyz, cruze at 60-65 with no problem still fun because its a rev manual so you still have to shift. i mean go to florida, no, go for a cruz no problem.
and it makes the car fast, and big tires also make it safe. going 9s on a 275 nitto, with 1000 hp, that isnt so safe IMO

actully i did i had a regal that i had setup with a th400 12bolt and 455
it was not even close to fun for the street anymore yea the car ripped and great power but you couldnt cruise down the highway nevermind drive to NED like you said to each there own but i have been there

the car just sits for weeks at a time until you can actully race again .

see, i beg to differ, my car still see's alot of trips to car shows, dunks, cruzin ect ect. but i only use it now in good weather. i enjoy street racing, but im looking into another toy for the street for next summer, and i have my harley, so to not be able to drive my car everyday realy doesnt bother me anymore.
right now im realy enjoying the racing thing.

he never ran the sts setup at the track due to his schedule and the track closing .

no never made a full run over 540 rwhp but it did go 11.5 at 127, the time I ran it with 630 rwhp it blew a hole in the header right on the line...after that the turbo went on and made over 700 at 14 psi but I never ran it since NED was closed. Now that motors sold as well so we will never know, but I will give you an 11.7 at 150 with the new motor an setup...I promise...then I will powerbomb you right through you 40 point cage for good measure

Mike, 11.5 with 630 rear wheel.
see i went 10.6 with 570 rear wheel with every option in the car 6 speed small rearstreet tires, full size 17's up front, 3700+ pounds. ac ect ect ect. hhmmmm. oh wait, that was on open loop with a ton of street driving.

As for the open loop thing I can agree a 400hp street car doesn't need open loop but with closed loop it will need a touch up tune from time to time do to changing conditions!!!

hell, i went 11.2's with drag radials and a 3700+ car and that was on a 1.7 60', guess i can drive better. lol in your face!!!
oh yhea, and i was only 511 rwhp at that time big guy.
