NJ cops
just a heads up to all the Jersians....
you've probably noticed alot of cops on the road this month, that is because all of may will be traffic awareness something or another. there will be alot of cops running overtime in unmarked police cars, looking to give out tickets. i joked around with my friend about this yesterday and he got pulled over later that night. i heard this as word of mouth from my father so i don't know the validity of it, but supposedly they will put extra patrol on: Route 1, Route 130, Route 280, Route 80, Route 78, Route 24, the Parkway and the Turnpike, and probably other major highways as well. i just thought i'd throw that out there

I can definitely verify this for northern jersey..
on route 4 - at about 8pm last night, we've seen about 12 cops within 10 miles, all pointing their radars at the road.. dont know how many unmarked were roaming around

i saw two unmarked cops pulled over two cars within less then a 1/8th mile distance on rt 287 new jersey. both were crown vics and both had normal paint jobs. they must have been hiding in the same place cause both cars got pulled over RIGHT next to each other. i've been seeing alot of unmarked cops rolling around lately. now is a good time to use cruise control fellas

I haven't noticed it in RI...yet.. but I bet they use the program to emphasize safety and as a side benifit bring in extra revenue (any excuse to bring in revenue, safety is a cover).
To be honest the program will only work if they keep it up permanantly, one month, or even 6 months won't cut it... I give a week after the program ends and driving habits will be the same

Yeah, i heard about this the other day...after the fact. I got pulled over supposedly going 87 in a 65 for "the last mile". Total bullshit, i was cruising at 70 in the middle lane minding my own business and i had two buddies in the car to confirm it. Long story short....I got out of it thankfully. My friend on the other hand....later that night gets pulled over and gets FOUR tickets, and then later that night gets followed by another cop coming out of whitecastle and then later on gets pulled over again!! We now call him four ticket tony hahah. This month really sucks! Cops are seriously all over the place!

come to think of it, i think its every may. last may i was going down to the beach for prom. i had to go once in the morning and once in the evening. on the way back in the morning i got a ticket for doin 92 in a 65. and on the way back down in the evening i got a ticket for 88 in a 55. the cop said he was gonna let me off on the second one but he saw the first one in the back seat and said hopefully i would learn the second time.

It just isnt worth messing around on the street unless you do a few slow drive bys to make sure no one, and I mean no one, is around. Too much traffic and cops are trying to make their bones over stupid ****. Its funny when I watch the news and hear about street racing they alway have a bunch of Hondas, EVOs, etc all jammed up and never any Fbody, C-*, or older stuff nabbed. Coinsidence..................I think not.
