Default Paging Everyone... Tranny Help

Well the process of swapping motors began today.

Trying to drop the tranny out with the bellhousing attached to the motor. Are there any bolts on the very top? I have them all out and I am trying to walk the tranny out but it doesn't seem to want to come. I didn't persuade too much so maybe I need to work it a bit more. I should have paid more attention when Don and crew pulled it the first time

Any advice would be AWESOME since the motor is just about ready to pull.

Thanks - Mike

Sounds like you missed a bolt.

I'm not sure man.

If you would of waited till you got back to MA though I could of given you a hand. I know the 4l60E wasn't to bad to drop.

There's gotta be somebody here that has done it a few times.

I thought he was talking about the bell housing. I've been thinking backwards all day.

It was eight, when I got there, there were seven on the floor. The damn one that holds the vent tube was still in there. After a few deep breaths and some wiggling she came right out.

As for taking the motor out the top, you guys must be super heros... How much **** can they hook up to the back of the damn intake?

Thanks again... I will post some pics tomorrow

that one always gets forgotten easily

motor comes out easily as long as you have another hand there to guide it away from the cowl

I can't wait to see your car run too. I'm not sure what your putting in that thing but it should be a little faster than mine. That is if you are staying NA for now. If I had my AFR's it might be a bit more interesting. It'll be a good run either way.

When are you coming back anyways?
