Sad Day @ E-Town
Sad Day @ E-Town It used to be that the Firebirds and Camaros used to DOMINATE at these EFI events..
Today was a pathetic showing of F-Bodys.. Camaro's and Firebird's were the SLOWEST at the track.. losing to Neons and Evo's, and even losing to MOST of the Mustangs! (GT's, Mach1's & Cobra's)
The Era of the F-Body is rapidly winding down, with only a few diehards still staying with the F-Body. As a matter of fact, the only fast Chevys were the Vette Dr's 9.3 @ 154 and another white Vette in the low 11's.
It was also sooo empty, that I got tired of watching the same 14.1's and 14.2's that the SS's and Firebirds were running.. hell, even the QTP Red Cobalt (4 cyl) ran that...
Oh well..

just because people have fast cars doesnt necessarily mean they know how to drive them. My car with an intake and exhaust ran 13.2 last night in this weather at island with a 2.1 60 ft.
the EFI events have just lost a lot of their appeal for the f-body crowd i think.
it was cool when teh magazine presented the first few and had articles about them. then the coverage got to the point that it was 1/2 with 1 black and white picture.
other than e-towns schedule and this site i haven't really seen the event mentioned around or promoted very much this year.
i give props to QTP for stepping up to support an event that is based on a solid idea. someone just has to get to work on getting the hype out there.

i dont think its f-bodies dwindling, i think its E-Town
Thats why I didnt go to E-town after that rule went into effect..I had the quickest H/C NA F-body to show up at that event in 2001 but after all the BS with th noise I never went again..
