It should say on the ticket? Do you have a court date or something?

In Jersery you can't have tint on the front windows....so no matter how light it is you lose.

If there's no price on it, it's a summons. Plead not guilty, if you're lucky they may throw it out, if not, they will give you a court date. Good luck.

In Jersey, each Township determines the fine for window tint. I got one in Pittsgrove Twp. The Ticket was $30 + $20 for court fees, Which I didn't even go to court, I just paid for it at the window.

Where is your license from?

If you're license and car is tagged out of state, then they can't enforce NJ tint laws on your vehicle.

If the car is tagged outta state, but your license is from NJ..I have no idea how that would work then. They'd probably start questioning where you actually live at...or at least MD would.

Always make sure your license and registration match. That way b.s. laws from a different state have no effect on you.

Impeding traffic, in Pa anyway, is a moving violation which means you would get points against your license, your insurance will go up, and you will no longer have a clean record. So yes if it's the same in NJ I'd say it's worth fighting.
