add some gas store stuff. fill the tank with 93, put some moister packs in the car, and if it is inside, put mouse traps out, they love cars all tucked away!!!

when its stored, remember to start it once a week or so, or as often as you can

if you dont plan on starting it at all during the winter, i'd recommend that you take the battery out... i've had the winter put the finishing blow on an older battery before.

someone told me once to never leave a battery sitting on a concrete floor... i dunno if that is a myth or not, but its something to ponder.

It's true, you shouldn't really leave a battery on teh floor, the cold from the floor will cause it to get messed up. Leaving tools, like chainsaw's and weed whacker's on concrete floor's is bad too, the cold screws the motor's up, causes condensation to get into bearings, all kind of stuff, not good.

as long as you put it on cardboard you should be fine. What happens is the cold concrete causes condensation (water) which is a conductor. This condensation then causes a positive connection between the terminals of the battery and ground which in turn causes the battery to lose its charge. Also, if the a battery is left unused for a few years, the copper and lead components of the acid solution in the batter break down a disfuses after sitting, causing a battery to lose charge.
At least i learn something in school.. haha

Yeah, what she said. Cardboard would probably be enough to stop any problems, usually I use a 2x4 or something like that, only beacuse there always seems to be one around for stuff like that in my garage/basement.

ahh is that what they were saying while i was trying to sleep
change the oil before you store the car too, the acids in used oil arent great for your bearings, prob not so bad with newer cars but cheap insurance. alos it'll be ready to roll when you take it out in the spring
