I opened it up when I thought I blew it last time, but I couldn't find anything wrong except some severely worn pinion bearings.
I did just rebuild the tranny though. The struts were all broken in the 3/4 syncro. When I finished that I took her for a few test runs on the street and the rear seemed to hold up just fine, I figured it would survive a few more runs at the track and the weather is getting perfect down here. Just couldn't resist - was hoping for my first run in the 11's
Instead I got a 12.6 @ 114 and closed the track for 20 minutes.

Go 9"! Then you'd never have to worry about the rear again! This is from a guy who had a Strange 12-bolt, which gave me no issues at all!
The 9" just seems like an all around better piece from what I've seen.

I have a 9" in front of me right now that I can fab up to fit in the car, but no ABS or ASR??? Decisions, decisions...
