Looks like they do some awesome work over there. Are you going with a mild steel or a chromoly cage??

Hmmm...That going to be one of the few GM cars to pass thru the doors down there? From their site, they've got some pretty strong references...mostly the Stangs. Best of luck w/your project, Don. Some serious wallet-lightening is going to be taking place to go as fast as you hope to go. Be safe and get the proper license credentials. WJ

It's actually the first F-body they are doing this extensive. They are very excited about it.We've been working on there personal GM's for awhile now The project will be running slow at first (low9's) then we'll keep turning it up till we reach our goal/$$ fund. The car I'm basing this off of just ran 8.8 at 130mph (132mph in the 1/8) on DR's but the blower pipes kept coming off.(easy fix). The wallet is taking a big hit so far,but I see it worth doing the cage at first so it doesn't need to be updated for awhile

pretty sure the rules changed. same as mine. this year my cage was good to 7.50, but the nhra rule is throwing it up to 8.50
pretty sure the 7.50 cars need the halo now. which looks bad ***, but no fun to crawl in and out

I think you were refering to the 25.2 cage. The 25.5 has the funny car style cage that goes around the driver.Don't worry they will change the rules again soon enough. 25.5 is good for 7.5 --for now.

Don That will be work of art!!! cant wait to see it. and for the others a 25.5 is like a full tube chassis build inside and around the uni body.

Are both sanctioning bodies, (NHRA and IHRA) going by the same guidlines for the e.t.'s allowed using these cages, or do they both have different guidelines? What about NMCA? Their own rules for cages, or is one good for all? They are sometimes conflicting on certain rules..... WJ
