i understand, a friend of mine works there, he told me they didn have anymore vht to put down, he said the last few weeks have been a 50/50 mix again, and they are using it sparingly.

I just got back. HOLY BUSY. there were HUNDREDS of cars there. i've never seen it like that. Saw some dude almost hit the wall right in front of me off the line. I did 1 run. 8.357. That just about equals my 13.06 run last week. I think it works out to 13.09 or something like that. Truck felt like ***, was pinging, but at least i didn't spin all 4 tires this time.

I saw a Foxbody stang hit the wall on Sunday as well running up top. I only saw the crash after as he was 2 cars behind me and I just finished a run.

I hope he's ok.

I got some new times though
I'm thinking 11's, perfect weather and the car was strong

Brad, I don't have anything to do w/NED, although I do know Joe Lombardo quite well--for 25 yrs. I've dragraced since I was 18 yrs. old, on many NHRA tracks that are now closed, long before NED even opened. I ran at LVD when Shirley Muldowney used to run there...Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that, IMO, NED is run way better than LVD, mainly because they put way more money into the facility than LVD, they have WAY more racers in the course of a season than LVD, and they are WAY more safety conscious at NED. It's the end of the season. Sure, they could be running out of VHT, but it doesn't work that well w/cold temps anyway, and those cold temps make the prepped track even MORE slippery than un-treated asphalt, IMO. People that went to LVD yesterday and were let run the full 1/4 saw a crash or 2 and experienced mega-waiting in staging lanes for ultra-long cleanup times, before the staff there realized that it was unsafe to run 1/4 and switched to 1/8 racing. Some people only got in 1 pass for the whole day. I guess what it comes down to, is that although cool temps bring bragging rights et's and speeds, they also compromise grip throughout the length of the track, and overall track safety. We see it at the very beginning and the very end of every season, it seems. I don't think we should knock track management for making judgement calls (1/4 to 1/8 racing) in the name of safety, that's all. Best wishes. WJ

I wasn't talking about 1 trip to run 1/8 mile, Brad....Think you know what I'm talking about, though. Enough said on something that's getting real old here. WJ

I am actually sure I could as well if I ran some MT DR's. I cut my best 1.725 on Nitto's off idle. I want to see if I can do it on Nitto's. I think if I hit sub 1.70, I'll be their.

That pretty badass w/ a stock engine though. I still have a 10 bolt w/ 3:23's. Subframes, PHB, Torque arm (-1), LCA's. That's it. still got the swaybar in too, along with my car that weighs like 3900lbs w/ my fatass .
