New daily driver/ tow rig
Picked up a new Black/Black 2006 Chevy Trailblazer SS , 395hp LS2 , all-wheel drive , tows 6800lbs . Should be fun on the street racing ricers and Mustangs .
Future mods planned are a tune(these trucks are severely de-tuned from the factory, tons of torque management ). converter swap , and a cold air intake . I almost always drive my Vette to the track , but pulling into the track with this truck towing the C5 will be bad *** . I can't even drive the truck myself right now , I tore ligaments in my knee and just had surgery , but riding down I-95 from NH to Mass the other day the truck got lots of double takes . Here are a couple of pics from GM of the exact same truck I got .

A lot of the newer GM trucks are de-tuned from the factory. GM can use the selling point that truck "X" (Escalade, Tahoe, etc.) you can use 87 octane. I took a look at my timing tables in the Escalade above 4000RPM the timing is -5 degrees (Yes that - means negative...). That is why we can see 50awhp from just a tune on a stock motor.
Personally I have not seen the LS2 program for the 06 T/B SS, but I have a good feeling the timing is real conservative and like the escalade the tq management is a killer.

eh i dunno...i've seen an LS2 SSR tune & the timing tables werent horrible...gm did start pulling a ton of timing based on iat temps though which can be just as bad. As far as your escalade goes the -5 values are only over 6000 rpms & .88 g/cyl meaning unless your boosted AND spinning the truck up alot you NEVER hit any of those cells. In usable wot cells it should be at 23-25* of timing according to the file I have on my computer.
