FAST intake, What am I doing wrong?

Default FAST intake, What am I doing wrong?

Has to be a simple reason. The intake does not fit on flush with the heads. I can only get 1 side at a time to rest on the heads. It's like something is in the way holding it up, but I can't find anything.

are the gaskets all secure in the manifold?

Did you swap the bolts on the valley cover? They are suppposed to be changed, the intake is most likly hitting in them. Check that out.... if that's not it, then I'm at a loss....

Front coolant line. I should be done in about 15 min. Just torquing the bolts down now.

I had the problem with the front coolant line too. I just tapped it a few times with a mallet, and it bent it enough to fit the intake in.

However now the damn thing keeps cracking when I try to bolt up the 90mm TB. And I was only using 50 in*lbs! The manual doesn't seem to tell you what torque for the TB bolts.

Also I could not come close to getting a wrench and the hex socket on the bolt 2nd from the rear on the driver's side. I had to torque it by feel as best as I could.

i took my 90mm on and off 4 times in the past two days trying to figure out what the hell is going on with my idle - i looked all over for leaks & connections and couldn't find anything that looked off

i think it's the hole in the TB but i'm not sure - i have a thread in the external forum looking for help

BTW is yours on for good yet?

Yes, I did. It was the coolant line in the front holding me up. Then I could not find the small vaccume line hook up, so I took it off again. I just took it for a ride after resetting the PCM. No SES light.


We did have an issue getting my friend's 90 to idel right. I think he got it right today.
