Whoa, slow down a minute, Justin. Dan's car has a motor assembled by HIM--not the pro's at MTI. Also, Dan's car is 3800 pounds +. Also, Dan runs a 26" tire. I believe you run a 28, no? That is not apples for apples...Dan strips off that 200 lbs. plus---and he runs you down like.....well you know what. I love both of the cars, and both the owners are my friends... WJ

Don't know, but I will say this....It is clearly evident that if you do not have the resources and knowledge to re-tune one of these cars trackside, ecpecially with New England air changes from morning to afternoon, etc., you will be at a distinct DISADVANTAGE to someone who has. You need to know how to make the small changes that will keep putting on the "win" light, as well as being to be able to murder the tree w/your driving. So, either learn how to tune, or hire someone like Don to do it for you, trackside. BTW, with what it has and a good tune, your Dad's Camaro should be a mid-9's car at least.... WJ

I only ran wot full track at NED 1 run then.. it was the last run and ran an 11.03 or something at 120.. and was fuel starving... as in none in tank.. lol.. I never even looked. but when I got home put like 13+ gals in it, and it was starving the pickup.. my bad...

car runs 10.8x at 125 at LVD with a 1.55-1.57 60's... and that was a measley 480 rwhp.. no rear susp tune ever.. and 90% my tune... then we tuned it again to 500hp, and only hit NED that one time, so I was easy for the first 2 runs letting off at like 800 ft.. then the last run, like I said above.. would be a good race.. though I am at least 3850lbs

Dan beat me to it. His car is a kind of race car that has never really been hardcore tuned for track duty but it ran the 10.8's at LVD in crappy conditions.
As for time's,We have Curtis's 346 running 10.9's at 124mph with a weight of 3650lbs.He also daily drives it in Boston.
I would have to see the build sheet of your car and roll it on the dyno to see what it even pushes. There can be a bunch of improvement's in track tuning and shiftpoint adjustments. When done the weather will not affect the tune. The car will run acording to weather like all cars do. Fast in the cold/low DA,slower in the hot, high DA.
I like the expert engine build thing Warren wrote
