Haven't dynoed the car yet. I'll probably do that when I get back from the Power Tour. It should be making about 480-490rwhp. There would be no way that I would have put the Z06 emblems on Those holes were filled in and I also had the alignment holes in the nose filled so I didn't have to use the Corvette emblem in the scoop area. I came across an '06 Z06 today. The drive and his wife pulled him next to me, looked at the car for awhile, waved and continued on. They had to be a little confused saw it unless they've seen the write-ups.

To bad the Magnacharger doesn't fit under the f-body cowl. It makes the car very fun to drive without bringing the RPMs up to much.

As for the money to create it, total for all of the upgrades and body work is about $26k. It's a little over $20k more than a regular Z06 but even through a Z06 is an awesome car, it's not a convertible. Plus I probably won't come across another one like this so it's a little different. I've had a few people stop and say that it looks factory but GM doesn't make a Z06 convertible. At that point I know that I got the result that I wanted.

The Tour is coming up fast! I need to squeeze over a week's worth of stuff into that little "trunk". One thing that I'm not looking forward to is all of the dead bugs that will be on the nose. I hear they have Love Bugs down there. And I'm not talking about Herbie! I guess they are two bugs that attach to eachother as they fly. Kind of like sex on the run!

There are more pictures on off the opening page of the site. I have full size (3+ meg) versions available if anyone wants one for a desk top.

Thanks!

Marco, I caught a quick glimpse of you as I was at the light. Faces were scrolling through my head as I tried to figure out who it was

Tom, the love bugs will be out by teh time the power tour hits florida... before you leave put a VERY thin coat of Z2 on the nose, that way when you get to wherever the tour is goign, you can stop and wipe about 90% of it off. I've travelled to a few shows over the years, and have good luck leaving a thin coat of wax on the car whenI leave, and when I get to where I'm going, you can wipe it off and presto, a nearly spotless car again, and you can barely tell it's there on the car when it's moving... at least on pewter paint anyway.
