Rousch Stage 3
Rousch now has a Stage 3, which claims:
"Additional components include ROUSHcharger, intake manifolds, intercooler & radiator, air induction system, ROUSH calibrated ECM and many others) Produces 415hp / 385lb-ft" ... ROUSH Performance vehicles carry the same 3 year/36,000 mile warranty as the Factory (Except on 99'-02' chrome 18-Inch Mustang wheels that carry a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty).

With the added price tag of that over a factory model, and only 415 hp, that's got to be one of the worst hp/dollar mod setups out there if you think about it. The factory car's got 300hp, that's 115 hp more, and is what, a 12K option? for 12 grand, you could get ALOT more then 415 hp out of that car, I'm sure of it.
But, it will sell because it has *** in the hat "roush" name plastered all over it... and a warranty.

Look at you're car and honestly include what a shop would charge for similar mods (if you do your own work, etc)...
Still- it's a nice car- and I applaud Foose, Saleen and Rousch for being in the game.

Rousch has to keep it mild for warranty issues.

I dunno, alot of the stuff I have had done I paid for, and as time goes on, I'm doing more and more of it myself, soon will probably be doing most myself, but leaving the stuff that takes an expert (like building the motor, and welding thr cage in) Now that I have a place to do the work and not worry about getting caught outside in the rain or it getting dark on me or whatever, will only allow me to do even more.
Modding any newer car is expensive, I don't care if it's a LeCar, an f body or a benz.. the newer teh car the more it costs to mod as the parts aren't as available, and the aftermarket isn't competing with itself yet.
Older the car, the cheaper the mod parts are. Look at a 69 camaro for example, you can buy the entire car, every nut and bolt for it now, and alot of the HI-PO stuff, is relativly cheap in comparison to a newer car... just the nature of it.
I still say the roush, foose, shelby, and all those are MAD overpriced for what you get, they have got to be some of the best examples of paying for a name only that you can come up with. Every one of those "factory" tuner cars, are mad expensive, and the power, handling and breaking, are nowhere near what they could be if you just started with the car yourself and picked teh parts on your own.. even if you have a shop like eastside, dez, or whoever install them, you're still gonna get a bigger bang for the buck then you will buying it from a dealer done that way.

RESALE VALUE!!!! is the only reason to buy a "factory tuner" ie. roush,foose,etc..
you can buy a mustang ,camaro etc.. and do all the exact same stuff as most of these places sell it piece by piece and do it yourself but that car from roush will be worth more down the road even with less power. i know first hand it costs alot to do that stuff on that car if your going for looks unless your doing the LABOR yourself (your still gonna pay for parts no matter who you are) if you just want power your better off buying a gt and throwing ablower on it

dealers are jacking the prices up big time on the shelby's so how much more are they gonna jack the price up on theses mods. By the way , this is a LS1 website and your gonna get a lot of negative comments so why post something about a car almost all of us would never buy

If one of those can keep up with 500 n/a rwhp thru a 4500 convterter and th400, then I guess it will leave me no choice but to arm the nitrous
I'm not concerned.. and like said above, the guy that can afford to buy one of those, most likly won't be hammering on it all too much, the payment will be hammering him though, that I'm sure of

How bout this, give me 10G's less and I'll build you a car with the same power that is shaped like my *****. Great power, and it will look 10 times better then that goofy ricer body kit stang.
