Wink I'm retiring

Just a heads up that I won't be building Combo's anymore starting next month. Mike and Brian at the shop will be doing them and I will be around to help out. I will be tuning still.

This comes from from busy work schedule. Can't handle 90+hr's a week anymore.

As some know Mike and Brian have built some of the Nastiest Stangs in the country. They are the only mechanics I trust touching LS1 work and I have full faith in them.In the past they have built a few cars for me that came out great.

Has nothing to do with the $$.My other job offer's as much OT I would want.
Right now I spend about 10hr's a week at home. Not enough

As for the race car.Not even enough time to even think about it.Maybe this winter. ****,I bought a bike over a month ago and only put 400 miles on it and 3/4 of that was going to work.

Sad to hear it Don. But, I fully understand. You gotta take time and enjoy life and your family. Glad to hear you are still tuning though.

Mike and Brian are great guys I would absolutely let them work on my car.

Don, you are truely one of the most knowledgeable and respected GM Gen III engine and 4th Gen. F body and Corvette C5 powertrain and chassis personnel in the whole country. You have always been a person who treats EVERYONE equally and fairly, which is a quality that is rare in today's day and age. We met some years ago, now, and it seems like yesterday that you set up my stock '02 A4 SS to run consistent low 12.30's w/just a 3200 stall converter, 3.23's, good tires, and a little suspension work. I'm happy that you will finally be able to find time to spend more quality time with your wonderful wife and family. Let me be one of the first on this site to thank you for all your knowledge, craftsmanship, and integrity. Slowing down just a little is great--take it from the old man.... Best wishes. WJ

I am glad to hear you are finally taking a break. Working as many hours as you were must burn you out. I am sure your family will greatly appreciate this, and like everyone else said, nothing can replace time spent with the family. Enjoy it

Don actually owns "Don Flamingo's" a famous gay bar on the strip in Raynham. He just uses the shop to report legit money as Don Flamingo's is a front for his drug running business, that is why PUREVYL needs a fast car to get to and from the border

Sorry i had to let the secret out Donnyboy
