Don't think I've ever seen a stick car w/a loose converter, Mr. Borderline....Jeff's car had been running MT D/R's previous, and am pretty sure they never made any suspension changes when the new ET Drag slicks were bolted on...Probably the main reason for the bumper-stander, like most have said. Perfect air and traction last Sat....Many people had new 60' bests and overall bests...WJ

It made 590 at teh rear wheels in the heat of the day, so on saturday it was around 610+-15, and its making about 650 ft lbs of torque at the rear wheels.

ya, he said it was like a 5 foot high wheelie and he still hates the fact how us ls1/ls6/ls7 guys make these fast as cars while those old timers are going slower in big blocks. Although hes going 9.50 on a home built 2 bolt main 468.

your 650 rwtq is a converter number trust me. No ls7 with a th400 is making that kind of tq. Either way, the car rips

i run a 3.73, its a little low for the glide, but it was perfect for the th-400.
your dads car with that power and a 28" slick should have atleast a 3.90

as for the cars HP, 600 is about right to the wheels. i was 750 to the wheels out of the hole 300 shot, and stood 2 feet up 99% of the time. its all in the suspention. even my first passes this year where pretty mint. just a little wheelie and that was it. i was close to the same wheel power, but lighter then last year, and i moved alot of weight around, so for a first pass out, a little preload adjustment, and i was golden.

i think i will do bars for next season, but next season should be interesting!!!

lol, yhea, one pass when we where tuneing my car on motor it made like 800 ft pounds. lol
then the next pull it was like 400. im going to geuss its more in the 400's because a few of them read 530-550 so 500 tops.

but the car can make 100 hp or 1000 hp, if the power isnt getting to the ground the right way, you spin or wheelie.
