Ie heard good things about the LS7 and Spec 3+. Ive personally seen Spec 3 (the regular) its got a firm clutch feel. 3+ is similar, but can hold more torque (rated). LS7 Drives like stock, but it is hard to get the parts, often backordered. I know this cus we ran into the same issue. Also the flywheel is different....

As far as doing the job, having a lift REALLY helps. I did one with a lift, the only trick was bleeding the clutch, but we used a coolant pressure tester, worked mint.

If you dont have a lift, buy the parts and pay a good tranny shop to do it.

I have had a MccLeod clutch for 2 1/2 years now single disc and I'm very pleased with it. The hardest part of installing a clutch is getting all the air out of the hydrolic lines.

i just installed an ls7 setup in my buddies car. very nice setup!
much smoother then spec. im going to say for anything under the 450 rwhp mark these clutches are great. after that id go to spec.

i can do a clutch in a few hours. faster if i skip the beer. lol i have a lift tho and ive done probably 20 or so clutches so it goes pretty smooth. if i didnt have the lift, id let some one do it for me.

not easy (thats why i had Dez Racing do it) and the ls7 clutch/ls2 flyheel combo is great for under 500 rwhp applications.

Slowhawk did mine. SPEC stage 3F w/Billet steel flywheel. I would PM Don (Slowhawk)(DEZ racing) about it.

Don't sweat it, its not that bad. Mine was the first clutch I've ever done and I found it pretty easy and straightforward. Just get the car high enough off the ground - put the rears on ramps and use tall 3-ton stands on the front - and you're good to go. Took me about 6-8 hours, but that was being it was my first time. Oh and I spent about a good hour trying to get the welded Spec 3 off my flywheel!

Spec 3x - absolutely fine and abused pretty good.
DEZ installed it the first time. I had it in and out severl times since - not a single problem. Did it EVERY time without a lift. Hardest pert is the stupid tranny to bellhousing bolt that holds the breather tube - hard to get to. If you've done one before, in any car, you should be ok with this one.

Yeah, that bolt is definitely the hardest part. Get a 2' extension and go from the back of the trans, thats about the only way to get it.

BTW how much are you looking to spend? If its close to $1000 def go with the textralia...if its around $500 then LS7/LS2 combo IMO...buddy ate through his spec stage 3 very quickly.
