Thumbs up Good times This weekend!!

Well, friday night and Sat was the NH grass drags, it was SWEET!!!!!!!!

i must say after seeing the showing of sleds at the track this summer, and going to the local grass drags, you may see noyzee racing getting into sled racing over car racing!
im stuck right now, but very possable may build a sled for summer. im just afraid i may not be as exited about it come winter like i am now. we'll see.

anyway, great times up there, my 2 buddies running sat both made it to the final 8. one red lite, and one broke out by like 3 thou
got a new jacket, new helmet, some other little things. it was great.

then CvF shootout was fun also. we had 3 TA's in Fire bird street. and one esp car in firebird slick. all with new PB's

Mario (not on the boards) went 12.2 with his 98 car, headers, ls6 intake, converter and tuned car

timmy 1 went 11.51 @ almost 119 with his heads cam street car. 17" drag radials out back and almost 3600 pounds

Vinny 2, again not on the boards went 13.3 with his stock 1999 car with headers, tune 2nd time ever racing

and JL did well also. let him tell his story.

i was also pitting with my buddies stang. the orange one i help out with. tok 2nd place in Real street. our bottle pressure went down very fast as the weather change even faster going from 70 to 55 in about 5 minits

but all day we where on 9.56 passes on a 9.50 class, and last pass we raced a good guy, who went a .56 to our .70 got back around and damn it, bottle went from 950 to under 700

oh well. still a great day. then a great feast at my place. my girl made a nice little setup of food drinks, Hannable hooked it up with lots and lots of beer, and new lights on the garage!!!

good times, good times. thanks for the ESP crew and little crew coming down.

Do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You might have to borrow the yamaha though to really go fast

I think you'd still have fun doing the sled in summer and winter. We should check for some more grass drag events. There's gotta be a ton. Talk to your boy At least if you did that its still different, grass in the summer, snow in the winter. I suppose you could throw a slick track and wheels on it and run @ NED too

Mike, can you imagine what i could build for a sled!!!with the money from the car, and the right team. holly ****

and yes, i would do the local grass drags. ones within say 2-4 hours over the spring/fall, then NED over the summer, then have my Turkeypond race sled, and my cruzing trail sled.

hehehe, be fun

Matt, i typed it. im getting better at the keys, i hit more of the right letters now rather then doing stuff like this.

Maty ia soooooo gay lol

|Timmy 2, you missed good times!!!

i went to bed early last night, but i was dead, and i didnt feel well, i woke up thismorning sick as **** throught killing body hurt, head pounding, and i only had like 8-10 beers, so no way it was a hang over or sick from drinking, didnt even do one shot!
needless to say i didnt get into work till like 10. i felt horrible!

I was happy with the results that came from my car.. here'a link to a thread I startd in the 11 sec. forum.. not that I expect it to stay there for long...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/11-second-club/589088-please-update-me-but-i-don-t-plan-staying-long.html

Overall I am very happy with the way the car ran, two 1/2 track blasts, one of which was pretty much a throwaway, because I did the dreaded pull of 2nd gear right at the launch, even though everyone told me to not do it 2nd 1/2 track run was legit, spun bad, we made a change for the first round which I planned to just run out, and it still spun, I didn't have the car lined up perfect, which I'm sure didn't help, but there's still some work to be done... ended up with a 11.06 @123.23, with a 1.60 60 foot time. I knwo teh car has the potential to run in the 1.4x 60 foot range, once the car starts working I'm sure it will see 10's no problem.. it's so close as it is. I probably shoudl have yanked teh passenger's seat and some other dead weight stuff... probably all it would have taken to get it there. Car weighed 3620 with me in it, and about 3.8 of a tank of gas, so it's not a lightweight by any means.. but not the 3750 that it was last year so the weight is going in the right dierection.

Grass drags get old real fast. I ran the entire circuit a few years ago with 4 sleds. 440/600(2)/700. One season it rained EVERY week-end and they still race. By the end of the day they weigh about 100lbs more from all the clay stuck inside the tunnel.

That's why we kept the 700 (full crank shop motor w/154HP) to set up for asphalt - much better racing conditions.

I highly doubt that friend LOL. By next year, the plate will be on between the intake and the throttle body.... and I can, and will pill her up for you if need be, but I don't see that being needed.

I'm trying to go this Friday to the rental, Gary's going up anyway so he said he'd tow my car up again if I wanted... so I'm trying ot get a few thigns done for Friday. I'll be at home tonite working on it, if you can call me, take a ride down, whatever ya want... I'll bring the cordless outside, hopefully it's got enough range LOL. If I can get it there this Friday and it runs teh # I'm aiming for 10.9x or better, that will be it for this year, I'll start getting it prepped for the cage over the winter.

Oh and don't worry LOL, if all goes well by next spring it should be running as good or better then you will be on motor.... I turn that kit on and the liklyhood of low 10/high 9 second runs, are very well a possibility.

Call me at home tonite.. I'm sure you'll be busy with family and other stuff....
