Default Atco 11/3

Track wasn't great, spinning pretty bad. Tried some new things with the car launching wise. Best 60' of the night was a 1.86 launching at about 4000. Tried from 4500 and 5000 and the car just spun WELL past the 60'

Best ET of the night was:
.120
1.869
5.273
8.096
86.81
10.480
12.477
112.57

This run the tach was at 6100 in first and it nailed limiter =/ this was weird because it's set at 6800 RPM. Anyways, I came to realizethat in a cammed car the tach is 500 or so RPM slower. This was news to me. Anyways after that I made sure it hit second and finished the run top of third going through the traps

Best MPH
.381
1.938
5.349
8.225
85.51
10.610
12.570
115.86

This was after a long burnout, and I realized I have to adjust the adjustable master again as I got the same problem with it not going into gear high in the RPM's. We'll do that before next night out.

Last run of the night I felt was the best. Things down track seemed to stick real well. Off the line though it was another problem.

Don't have the slip in front of me right now, but the stats were as follows off of my memory

2.3 60'
12.56
113 mph

With a 60' in the 1.8's like that one run and everything being equal, would you suspect that the car has a 11.9 in it with the 342's?????

I thought I got a much better feel for the car last night with the 6 speed, as my first time out I didn't really launch about 2800-3000

Chris it was fun running with you on that last pass. Your car has so much more in it once you get some more seat time dialing in your new set up. No doubt you will be seeing some high 11 second passes soon.

Congrats, an 11sec car for sure, trapping almost 116 spinning is pretty damn strong.

Yeah 315 Nittos at 20.....they spun on every run. The 1.8 they caught for a bit but once I slipped it they just spun. The car hauls ***, I just have to adjust the master cylinder 1 more notch, and try again, had that high RPM shifting problem again. The car should be in the 11's, and will be soon enough once I get some more times in on her.

Funny thing is that it never slips on the street, or has that RPM problem on the street. As I was explained, the roasting of the tires heats the fluid up and causes shifting problems.

I was told also to try using Ford master cylinder fluid as its's 3x more heat resistant? Is this true?

lol it's all good. On a side note, never bet a friend that they won't hit a 14.8 in their v6 when the DA was -1500 while they are using your skinnies. Lose your bet, you lose your ride for the rest of the night....lol yeah that sucked.

Congrats on your times. That car is strong. I was there on Friday and I really liked the color combo of the silver paint and black wheels.

Thank you I apreciate the compliment, was debating trading the rims for something chrome, but I think I will keep the black. Maybe get the rims freshened up, or get new black zr1's as they have some curb rash.

Anyways, I think next time out I may try a bfg drag radial if I can find one, or something a little better than the Nitto. For a 315 drag radial, you would expect after a 15-20 second burnout on 20 psi to hook a little better. NOOOO It spun well past the 60'...

Eh, I'm happy with getting more passes in under my belt, but I won't be happy until I see 11's. I know the car has it in it, just have to get the master cylinder problem fixed 1) and get a better tire 2)
