Anyone Know This Car??? Its a 1998 Camaro Z28 at Courtesy Chevrolet in Salisbury, Maryland. Its Mystic Teal in color and has tan leather interior. The car is an M6 and supposedly has 52k orig. miles. I didnt know if it had belonged to anyone on here because from what i could see it had BFG drag radials, SLP lid, a heavy duty clutch, and some type of catback...maybe more. The interior is in descent shape with a few minor things like a little dusty and the control panel on the drivers side door seems to have "popped out". If any information on this car is available it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.- I imagine it is going to need a new rearend very soon because accoridng to the salesperson it has 4.10 gears w/ the DR's....not a good combo on the stock 10 bolt...

How much do they want for it? I am assuming those 52k miles were driven hard. So its like a 130k mile car now. The 10 bolt will prob explode on you. Either way doesn't hurt to whip it around the block. I bought mine for 14k with 39k on the clock. She was bone stock. I would always look for the cars that are stock first.

I would always look for the cars that are stock first. well what do you plan to do with the car, not what you want to do but what will really happen. if it's going to be a h/c or power adder car then dont sweat it, stuff will be replaced anyhow. if your looking at this car as a daily driver then think hard and long before you get it.

If the car is really clean, has not lived its life being driven in the rust-belt, has not had paint or body work,or in other words--not previously wrecked--the car is a good prospect--importantly because of the Mystic Teal color. That's a very limited Z28 color production ('98-'01) in the '98-'02 Camaro model--there were 0 Mystic Teal SS cars, and most of the Mystic Teal Camaros were V6 models. (someone correct me if I'm mistaken...) A rare color '98 Z28 w/leather gut that hasn't been wrecked will usually appreciate in value sooner than the common color units. Replacing worn or abused driveline parts is easy, compared to body-working these 4th gen F cars. (My opinion only...) I've got the '98 Camaro production #'s somewhere around here in my office----will try to dig them up...I can tell you that there were only 2,875 SS cars made in '98, 4,829 SS's in '99, 8,913 SS's in 2000, 6,332 SS's in 2001, and 11,191 in 2002.
