Got me my First HP mod.
I go to a place that will let me make a few pulls and I want to do this.....
2 Baseline Stock dyno pulls
1 Pull with the Air Filter only
1 Pull with the Bellow only
1 Pull with the Lid only
1 Pull with the Lid, Filter, Bellow
1 Pull with the Lid, Filter, Bellow, and Duct
The neat part is that I only pay 50$ , the Air Fuel never works as good as a Wide band but that no biggie for me. This car I bet has a pig rich factory tune.
After this, I want to get my rear installed with 4.10's and ABS rings for the TCS installed. From there I can get the Corsa, DS, rear and suspension installed. I hope the Corsa cancels out the loss for the rear.
I paid with shipping 280 for the kit, I want to see what gains and what doesnt. More to the point do the sum of the parts give overall better power then individual pieces.
My predictions: 8-10 RWHP and maybe 10-12 RWHP with the fan on.
I did pretty the same thing back in 2002 and I would assume the same.
Happy New Year!
This should end the debate about the Smooth bellow debate. On a stock set up and when I get more modified I will take it off and change it to see if it gains proportional to the engine combo.
BTW, we only made 2-4 horses with a B & B cat-back at the time - that thing was so restrictive.
Eventually, we went the whole H/C, converter, NOS, headers and stuff. The car finally came together and we got into the 10 second range before it was totalled in Englishtown.
Again, let us know about your results!

Well that is true since the computer is a learning computer. Then one should just put all the mods on, dyno, drive 100-200 miles, cycle the car a few times and redyno, I wonder what gain could be seen either under the curve or peak.
