Thumbs up Installed my SLP Flow Pack kit

The 1st real mod has been done to my new car, the old one had everything done. It was nice to be able to do cheaper bolt on mods again. Over all I have to say it isnt all that bad of a install. The worst was taking out the plastic dam piece that has like 6 fasteners which are a PITA to get out.

With the Kit I got.

SLP Lid
Smooth Bellow
Sheet metal intake to suck from the bottom
Blackwing filter

The car already had the air box cut, too much (by prev owner) and we had to relocate the weather stripping. The other weather stripping piece for the Sheet metal duct had glue on it, a lil sticky but we needed to add more.

The smooth bellow went on really easy. No need for cutting or lubercant.

I like the Blackwing filter, like the color. A lil heavier then stock but over all with the LID on the stock set up has some weight to it.

I took the car out and she felt good. I could hear a delightful whistle of the intake and she pulled strong.

Oh and I found this after I took the MAF off, it was descreened. So I had a cut air box and descreened MAF sensor. Thats why the car is a rocket!!

Did you make sure the MAF was clean? The metal wires in it.

Glad you like it but i hope you paid a good price for it. You could of just got the SLP lid and this SSRA. The SLP cold air scoop is very little and for the bellow you could of did the Fernco mod from Home Depot for $5.00. Here is what the SSRA looks like

I do not like the way the SSRA works. I dont like it being that close to the nose, I do not wish to even get my filter wet. The air duct for the SLP rest just above the support brace for the radiator support, its pretty down there and it gets all the air the car shovels up there from the air damn.

With the Kit, the bellow comes for free. I paid 280 for the kit shipped to my door. If I did it seperate, it would be roughly the same with me buying that Home Depot Special bellow. So I made out IMO.

I also got caught up with JL-ws6's car yesterday, pics maybe tonight.

Thats the SSRA If you don't like the lower extension he also makes the SSRA 2 which is plastic so it won't heat soak and hangs lower than the SLP. The SSRA 2 is only like $160. I have the Whisper Cold air scoop on my SS which is metal but im gonna sell for a SSRA. Anyway glad u like it.

Thanks, my main thing was that I wanted a SLP lid, it looks very clean, no texture. Stockish, which is what I really did. You wont even see a sticker on my car. So I get that, a K&N type filter, then im 2 peices into the kit and with the duct (since im not ram air), the SLP kit works perfect and I did price it seperate, the bellow comes free, especially there is cheaper alternatives.
