I think I am gonna buy a set of stainless high flow cats, gut em, put em on the end of the header, cut the difference off the y, and put the y on the cats so it looks like I have some

its also a federal offense to even MOVE the cats from their stock locations. that means that if you get LTs and get a catted Y-pipe, it is STILL illegal.

well i dont have an ls-1 but i figure my input is still worth something. IM running Longtubes, No cats, 2.3/4 to 3 inch y pipe and a flowmaster 80 series. No one even looks twice at my car when i drive it, unless im really on the gas. then you can hear me coming from a good 200 yards away. as long as im not hammering on it it really isnt all that obnoxious. i guess it really depends on how you drive the car and even more then that, what the car looks like. Cause if its a cop magnet then a loud exhaust isnt gonna help you at all.

Yeah, it is a cop magnet, especially with an 18 year old behind the wheel

I could get you a sticker in peabody! kind of far away, but it can be done. As far as cops pulling you over and loking under the car, not likely in Ma. We have some of the laziest cops in teh country.

Keep the cats on the car...DUH! What kind of power increase did yout hink you were going to gain by taking them off? Ask yourself if the benefits outweigh the consequenses.
