I'm guessing any DOT legal radial tire is allowed, so any drag radial is acceptable. All drag radials have "DOT approved" stamped on the side, so I don't see how they can't allow them.

By def, it says DOT Approved Radial Tires, then they threw in the REAL street radial and made no mention of the Drag radial in their I.E. If they do allow I fear M/T's ET Street radials will take a huge hit in their stock piles.
any radial tire.. meaning M/T's, whatever. just no bias ply's.. which is kinda bogus because ther's plenty of bias ply tires that are DOT approved too (et streets, qtp's, etc.)

I might go just to watch, it's to frustrating trying to race with all the damn ricers. Seems they are always breaking parts, staging wrong, being towed off the track or being pulled out of the sand pit. Then they still have the nerve to talk smack.

I think Etown is a great track. Yeah it's got noise restrictions but they are under alot of heat because of the township. I've complained about the track prep once or twice but I have to say last season they really stepped up the prep ALOT. I don't think I spun once last season after I got her dialed in and I'm there at least once a week.
You gotta have mufflers and the exhaust has to extend past the drivers door.
I don't think it's that bad a rule and it's not even all the time, I know wed night is open exhaust and I think sunday as well. I only wish they would open more 4 days a week.

that's the thing LOL, I have cats and a LM on my car. Still sounds like a prostock, and I know it's WAY over the Db limit.
It's a ******* race track, if it's gonna be open, noise shoudl be expected, and if they are gonna allow the track to stay open, it should be open, noise and all. the town should either let the place be open and run the way it should, or not let it be open. Period.
