Default 427 w/ Nitrous.... TRUCK!

http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/C...o_427_Concept/

That would get me to switch from a F-150 to a Silverado!

That is one bad *** truck. Wouldn't mind seeing an extended cab version though just cuz. Only prob with that truck is they'll prob do to that what they did to the SS when that was a concept. When it finally gets on the market it will be down to a mild hp 5.3 haha

nice concept, but GM will NEVER make it

When they first started to talk about the Silverado SS it was a 2wd, shortbed, that had a 6.0 with ported/polished heads and made 400 hp. It was a perfect answer to the Lightning at that time. But look what we got. A 4dr, AWD, slow *** truck that makes GM look like pussies.

I would love to see them make this truck, but a guy over on PT.net (chevyracer23 i think) works for GM a a concept designer and he says it will never happen the way it is.

another GM truck that is pre-riced from the factory. i'm glad they aren't gonna make it.
if they want to put the "SS" back on a truck they should go back to basics. 1500, sitting on 2500 springs, standard cab, big f'ing motor. there is a reason the 454SS blew the doors off the original lightnings, cause it had a better power to weight ratio.

Actually the original 454ss truck was a joke. It made no power and the suspension sucked. The original Lightning was actually enginered to be something different, a sports truck. The only time GM got it right was with Syclone. Light as hell with power to actually make it move.

I think they should do a simple 6.0 with a eaton blower at 6psi making 450ish rwhp and call it a day. Becuase no matter what they produce we wil still rip it apart and change everyting as usual

how did the 454SS suck? it was quicker, handled better, cost less, and rode better than the old lightnings. the only diffeence between the original lightning and an f-150 was the 351 and the stickers.

I have riden in a original 454ss and it was slow as ****. The original lightning had a different suspension setup than the F-150. Also the 454ss sucked up a **** load of gas for not having much power at all. As much as it hurts to say this, the original Lightning was a better truck with a better fit and finish all the way around.

Not necessarily true...the suspension on that first gen Lightning was very good for what it was, that truck handled very well...for a truck.
The SS454 was cool (especially the later ones which had a little more power/better breathing) and had more torque than the Lightning but it was very nose heavy and not as well balanced.
