Yea but thats going to get expensive wouldnt it? Plus I dont want a bike thats slammed to the ground. I appreciate the idea though.

Well the weather is looking good tomorrow - time to get my bike on the road.

98Z28MASS- I already recommended the Suzuki SV1000S to you but let me give you the info on my bike.

I'm not as big as you, about 6' 215lbs. When I was looking in 2001 I didn't fit well on the big honda at the time, CBR954 I think it was. But I fit OK on the smaller Honda, the CBR600F4i. Long legs here and the 600 had better cut outs in the tank for my knees. I put on a Corbin seat and a taller windscreen and I really love my bike. If you fit on one I recommend it.

Yes your right I forget everyone that rides a lowered and streched bike MUST be a squid! How silly of me...

Anyway 98Z28MASS You don't need to get a bike slammed to the ground. You could get one thats just lowered 2". The lowering links are pretty cheap, and you could probably score a swing arm for $700-800 bucks. Just a suggestion, you seem like a pretty big guy for a 600, they are pretty compact. Either way, they are only as fast as you want them to be, you just have to respect the bike you riding at all times because when you start not to is when they get the best of you. Just be careful on what ever bike you get.

I'm not a fan of the lowered stretched bike thing. You take a bike made for corners and turn it into a Harley.About 99% of the people that stretch them never even seen a race track. To each there own though.

I have a strong opinion against Harleys I've put alot of miles on them and came to the conclusion that they are only good for making noise

Hmmm, as a drag racer, I figured you might give them some respect for what H-D/Vance & Hines, and some other Harley riders have been doing on the Prostock bike scene at most NHRA/IHRA national and regional events...but, one-way vision sometimes never can be changed.... BTW, the '06-up Harleys have improved big-time from the earlier bikes. Quality and performance are way up over the older models....and then there's that little thing about re-sale value vs. the jap bikes..... WJ

no.
everyone that gets a stretched bike for their FIRST BIKE is.

its very simple.
one of SEVERAL (i know theres several) definitions of a squid is someone who slows waaaaay down, turns, then nails the gas on the straights.

if you learn to ride and get habits from a stretched drag bike... yea, you're going to get squid habits of not being able to turn properly.

so yea.. i stick by what i said.
