Personally, I like the look of the Gallardo over the murcialago. It's 7/8 the size, a v-10 vs. a v-12, but according to the magazines just as quick.

Oh yeah, it's also a fair bit cheaper, if you consider $175,000 - $195,000 cheap. That's according to Edmunds.com, which lists the Murcialago at $290,000 - $310,000.

Don't get me wrong, I deffinitely think it would be a cool deal to take one for a spin. What color was it and was it the semi-automatic/stick or a true 6 speed with a clutch and all?

you have a few financing options:

#1 "A dollar and a dream"
#2 gun + gas station = down payment
#3 gun + get-away driver + bank = pay cash for it

if all else fails you can offer to sleep with the head of a bank or large corporation.

"That's according to Edmunds.com, which lists the Murcialago at $290,000 - $310,000."

You couldn't touch one for that price.
My buddy just paid $420K for his, #2 of 85 in the world.

"it was paddle shift. obviously i would buy it in a normal 6 speed.. "

The paddle shifter will blow away the 6 speed.

Proved it several times already.

Murc > Gallardo

I hate the Gallardos guts. The murc is sweet and like a second faster to 60 and the 1/4.

I wasn't trying to be exact, hence why I quoted Edmunds.com. I was just throwing out figures.

I know for a fact that automatics can and usually are quicker these days in almost every sports car simply because of the electronics and reduced shift times, but I still like having something to occupy my left foot. Look at f-bodies. Throw a 3600 stall in a stock f-body along with some simple bolt-ons and you'll be knocking on 11's. That's tough to do with a stick unless you swap out to 4.10s, but then that's asking for trouble on a stock 10-bolt.

Call me old school, but having a real clutch makes it more of a driving experience and more of a driver experience. Just my $0.02.

you've obviously never driven a car with a gated shifter like the Italians seem to like.. lol... also, look into how their trans work.. they arnt automatics... they're still a clutched manual trans... only difference is the drivers engagement.

yea i'll take a good manual over paddles for the fun factor.. but i'll take paddles over a poorly executed manual anyday...

I've driven one, and I almost puked at the sight of it. It was the standard bright yellow, but with fresh blood red interior. Other than that it was very fun, I also got to take a T-Rex out for a spin. Talk about a serious 3 wheeled go-kart.
