QTP EFI - I finally Won one!
It was a busy day. Running two classes at the same time.
It was hot in the sun but OK in the shade.
The DA was +2200’ at about 11:00am.
I was hot lapping the car all day, sometimes I never even turned it off!
I made it to the QTP Quick-8 final first and got a Runner-Up.
My opponent had me covered by over a full second.
(That's the way it goes in Heads-Up racing)
Then I made it to the QTP EFI Bracket Final and won!
In the bracket final I actually raced Camaro Dave who I defeated in the Quick-8.
The irony is he lent me his M/T drag radials for this race because mine were shot!
Dave I hope you are not upset with me?
I can’t believe I won against you twice in the same day with your own tires!
(Now I know why you win so much)
FYI, Camaro Dave is a really nice guy and an excellent racer, having won a few finals this season already.
I dedicated the win to my daughter who was my Crew Chief for the day!
She is my good luck charm!
A big Thank You to Cartek for building me a quick and reliable car going from time shots to qualifiers to round after round,
the car was on the money which makes it a little easier to win.
Thank you to QTP for sponsoring the event. (Barry is a really nice guy)
Thank you to Camaro Dave for loaning me the tires.
Thank you to Brooklyn Mark (tektrans) for loaning me his impact gun.
(that thing works great)
Thank you to Edgar for not bothering me at the track like he usually does.
(notice it was two Camaros in the final my friend)

Congrats to steve on his first win and for making it to the finals in the Quick 8.
Congrats to P.J. for winning the Quick 8. Looking forward to seeing you defend your title yet again. It's a shame Mark couldn't make it to defend his title from the last race.
The next race should prove to be VERY exciting with Marks and Tommys new setups. I know they are both working very hard to make the last event. If everything goes well from here on out, I should be ready to give you a shot at that title also P.J. Hope everyone who made this race, can make the last race too! See everyone in October.
It's also good to see Barry improving on his new setup.

Thanks Firehawk, Yeah P.J. cleaned my clock in the Quick-8 Final, so you guy's better bring some Big Guns.
He couldn't even use all the power that he had. I was glad to be in the final anyway.
Heads Up racing is the best, even if you lose.
I hope to see everyone there in October?

No one remembers a litle 'ole Heads/Cam car winning the first event hu... Oh well..
Ill be there in October, in the Quick-8
I would rather loose in a heads up race, then win by hitting the breaks... And who knows, fast cars DO have reliability issies Maybe Ill win again. A H/C car quick 8 champ with 2 out of 4 wins... hmmm
